Bug#806226: xen-hypervisor-4.6-amd64: Can't start a VM
Package: xen-hypervisor-4.6-amd64 Version: 4.6.0-1 Severity: normal Dear maintaners, I was using XEN 4.4 on that machine ("unstable") and want to switch to 4.6. All xen stuff was uninstalled (XEN 4.4), the machine restarted before installing 4.6. When I uninstall XEN 4.4 (libxenlight4.4) it deinstall also part of QEMU and when I reinstall QEMU libxenlight-4.4 aws reinstalled. First try (noeload is the file descripting the VM, was OK with xen4.4, the file is enclosed): xl create neoload /usr/lib/xen-4.6/bin/xl: error while loading shared libraries: libxenlight-4.6.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory The "/usr/lib/xen-4.6/lib" contains only : /usr/lib/xen-4.6/lib total 64 drwxr-xr-x 4 root root 4096 nov. 25 14:45 . drwxr-xr-x 4 root root 4096 nov. 25 14:45 .. drwxr-xr-x 9 root root 4096 nov. 25 14:45 fs -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 14592 nov. 1 21:58 libfsimage.so -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 31160 nov. 1 21:58 libxenstat.so drwxr-xr-x 4 root root 4096 nov. 25 14:45 python Where is "libxenlight" ? cd /usr find ./ -name 'libxenlight*' ./lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libxenlight-4.4.so Only the libxenlight-4.4 is present ? There is a dependency whith "qemu" so it was reinstalled with qemu. I try to reinstall libxen-4.6 (4.6.0.1 was marked as installed) a and cd /usr find ./ -name 'libxenlight*' ./lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libxenlight-4.6.so ./lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libxenlight-4.4.so give another try : xl create neoload Parsing config from neoload After many minutes nothing happens so I try to give up with Ctrl+c ... without any success. Bug#805828: mysql-server-5.6: upgrade didn't work, package unusable, mysql does not start
Package: mysql-server-5.6 Version: 5.6.27-2 Severity: critical Justification: causes serious data loss Hello, I am using the "unstable" release and after the previous update Mysql is unusable. The configuration files where updated and the result is an unusable database. Mysql won't start giving me stranges messages. The /var/lib/mysql is a symlinj to another location on another disk. I saw that some configuration options where not ok : innodb_data_home_dir = innodb_data_file_path = /var/lib/mysql/ibdata1:1024M;/var/lib/mysql/ibdata2:1024M:autoextend No directory for innodb_data_home_dir ? The "bind address" which was "0.0.0.0" has disapeared. I try some workaround. If I use : innodb_data_home_dir = /var/lib/mysql/ innodb_data_file_path = ibdata1:1024M;ibdata2:1024M:autoextend I get messages complaining on system error reading files. After a while I delete all "ib" files and relaunch the service with no success, the "ib..." files were recreated but the error.log mentionned that it can bind to this address (127.0.0.1) and asking if another mysql process was running (this is not the case). I try to use a specific address "bind 192.168.2.8" and mysql does not start with messages : 2015-11-22 21:53:53 4936 [Note] InnoDB: Waiting for purge to start 2015-11-22 21:53:53 4936 [Note] InnoDB: 5.6.27 started; log sequence number 1600618 2015-11-22 21:53:53 4936 [Note] Recovering after a crash using /var/log/mysql /mysql-bin 2015-11-22 21:53:53 4936 [Note] Starting crash recovery... 2015-11-22 21:53:53 4936 [Note] Crash recovery finished. 2015-11-22 21:53:53 4936 [Note] Server hostname (bind-address): '192.168.2.8'; port: 3306 2015-11-22 21:53:53 4936 [Note] - '192.168.2.8' resolves to '192.168.2.8'; 2015-11-22 21:53:53 4936 [Note] Server socket created on IP: '192.168.2.8'. 2015-11-22 21:53:53 4936 [ERROR] Fatal error: Can't open and lock privilege tables: Table 'mysql.user' doesn't exist The upgrade was not successful and I get a fully crashed database. Bug#783153: xserver-xorg: The window freeze, Xorg.0.log contains : AIGLX: Suspending AIGLX clients for VT switch
Package: xserver-xorg Version: 1:7.7+7 Severity: important Dear Maintainer, I get a window freeze with a message in X log's file : AIGLX: Suspending AIGLX clients for VT switch I get that message when I have two SSH sessions (ssh -X) open on two different machines and when I use X software, mostly vim-gtk. at some time moving through window the X session is locked and I can only restart X connecting through ssh from another machine. I was connected to 2 different VM, one on the current machine (KVM), the other on another hardware (XEN). I get the same problem working with the 2 same VM from the XEN machine. The Xorg.conf is new since the first time I get some problems (result of X -configurei The two different machines : 1) i3-3220 CPU @ 3.30GHz No specific videocard, using video from CPU using intel driver 8G Ram upgraded from Wheezy to jessie last week 2) AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 905e Processor video card : NVIDIA Corporation G94 [GeForce 9600 GT] (rev a1) using nouveau driver 16 G Ram using jessie since more than 1 year. The machine are kept uptodate at least once a week, I never get that problem before. I try with different kernels (3.16 standard from Debian, 3.19.5 and even 4.0.0) getting always the lock after some (??) time.
