Bug#677880: iwlwifi: flakey and slow connection, high invalid misc count

2012-06-27 Thread logs
Source: linux-2.6
Followup-For: Bug #677880

Dear Maintainer,
*** Please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***

Hi there.
First, thanks for your time.

It seems to be fixed in

Linux version 3.4-trunk-amd64 (Debian 3.4.1-1~experimental.1)
(debian-ker...@lists.debian.org) (gcc version 4.6.3 (Debian 4.6.3-1) ) #1 SMP
Wed Jun 6 10:34:53 CEST 2012

I have tested wifi at home and at work without options.

At home (WEP): The invalid misc count goes up very slowly, it has connected
without any problem and it has been 1h without disconnecting. Besides speed is
always 54 Mb/s and it does not change.

At work (no encryption): It does not work without
options cfg80211 ieee80211_regdom=EU

INFO: Now I'm at home.
I think I've turned on encryption at home after I started having problems
with wifi.
Let me disable encryption and try again. Maybe this is the cause ... :-(

Thank you !!!

Bug#641288: linux-image-2.6.32-5-686: Can not read appendable cdroms/dvds.

2011-09-12 Thread logs
Package: linux-2.6
Version: 2.6.32-35squeeze2
Severity: normal

Hi.
This bug continues bug 583949
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=583949

I open a new bug report, as suggested there.

appendable cdroms/dvds can not be read.
Checked in 2.6.32-35squeeze2 and 2.6.39-bpo.2-686-pae (i686).

It is an external usb drive, so I tried to plug it in a different hole.
Last message is when I decided to put there a blank dvd.

Thanks.

and I think it has to be with file encodings.
I used the script below to obtain the number of emails in each encoding and I
got:

$ ./convert_encodings_to_utf8.sh false

but I still do not know why some of them are problematic and some of them are
not :-(
Maybe if they do not contain special characters the encoding

Bug#610685: offlineimap: exceptions inside some folder avoid sync of msgs after it in that folder.

2011-08-25 Thread logs
Package: offlineimap
Version: 6.3.4-1
Severity: normal

Sorry about previous msg, I found that for the previous error
...
Copy message 744 Maildir[Babel] - Gmail[Babel]
(see previous email)
...
I just had to look inside folder Babel for a file with U=744, i.e.

$ ls -la Mail/Babel/*/*744*
...
Mail/Babel/cur/1313583398_1.11901.chiquitin,U=744,FMD5=53718118d84d26983528d262b37ea0be:2,RS
...

and remove it (after checking I do not care about it).

What I wanted to highlight now is that no email in folder Babel after this one
has
been synced because of the exception. I'm running it again now and I have:

 OfflineIMAP 6.3.4
Copyright 2002-2011 John Goerzen contributors.
Licensed under the GNU GPL v2+ (v2 or any later version).

Account sync Acc-Main:
 * Processing account Acc-Main

 Establishing connection to imap.gmail.com:993.
Folder sync [Acc-Main]:
 Syncing Babel: Gmail - Maildir
 Copy message 752 Maildir[Babel] - Gmail[Babel]
 Copy message 754 Maildir[Babel] - Gmail[Babel]
 Copy message 755 Maildir[Babel] - Gmail[Babel]
...

Could you change the behavior when an exception is launched so
only the affected email is ignored?

Thanks.

Victor.

Is there any way to identify the affected emails (appart from activating imap
debug, option -d imap) ?
This option is really a mess to identify which emails are the problematic ones.

Just by showing the email subject I could find the affected email by using
grep --color=auto -iRnH $string $file
and logs are not increased too much (I think) but
I do not know how to do that only with the identification number

Bug#637201: Bug present in libpam-encfs 0.1.4.4-4 (testing).

2011-08-10 Thread logs
Package: libpam-encfs
Version: 0.1.4.4-4
Severity: normal

I've upgraded to 0.1.4.4-4 and bug is still there.
The only modifications to config files are shown below.
This are the current mounted encfs

$ mount | grep encfs
encfs on /home/vpablos/secured/encrypted type fuse.encfs
(rw,nosuid,nodev,default_permissions,allow_other,user=vpablos)
$

I can mount it by hand, as before:

$ encfs /home/vpablos/almacen/.encrypted-almacen/
/home/vpablos/almacen/encrypted-almacen/ -o
allow_other
EncFS Password:

$ mount | grep encfs
encfs on /home/vpablos/secured/encrypted type fuse.encfs
(rw,nosuid,nodev,default_permissions,allow_other,user=vpablos)
encfs on /home/vpablos/almacen/encrypted-almacen type fuse.encfs
(rw,nosuid,nodev,allow_other,default_permissions,user=vpablos)
$

Bug#637201: libpam-encfs only mounts one directory listed in /etc/security/pam_encfs.conf

2011-08-09 Thread logs
Package: libpam-encfs
Version: 0.1.4.1-4
Severity: normal

Hi there,
maybe I am doing something wrong. I want to configure libpam-encfs to mount 2
directories on login.
The reason is one of them has backups and the other one has no backups.
I'm not able to do that because it seems that only the first one is mounted at
login.

I've made the following modifications:

In /etc/security/pam_encfs.conf:
#This specifies default encfs options
-encfs_default --idle=1
+# encfs_default --idle=0

+vpablos/home/vpablos/secured/.encrypted-fs
/home/vpablos/secured/encrypted -v allow_root
+vpablos/home/vpablos/almacen/.encrypted-fs
/home/vpablos/almacen/encrypted -v allow_root

In /etc/rc.local:
+# Set up encryption using enc-fs
+# http://www.debian-administration.org/articles/204
+modprobe fuse

In /etc/pam.d/common-session:
+# From http://choffee.co.uk/ramble/2006/06/02/paranoia-at-home/
+session required pam_encfs.so

In /etc/pam.d/common-auth:
+# From http://choffee.co.uk/ramble/2006/06/02/paranoia-at-home/
+auth sufficient pam_encfs.so
+auth required pam_unix.so nullok_secure use_first_pass

In /etc/fuse.conf:
 # Allow non-root users to specify the 'allow_other' or 'allow_root'
 # mount options.
 #
-#user_allow_other
+user_allow_other

I hope I have configured something wrong.
Regards,

Victor.

Bug#583949: linux-image-2.6.32-5-amd64: It's happening to me after I burned a cdrom.

2011-08-01 Thread logs
Package: linux-2.6
Version: 2.6.32-35
Severity: normal

I burned a cdrom yesterday. I hibernated and today I am not able to mount the
cdrom I tested yesterday nor any dvd from any type.
k3b is capable of telling me the details of cdroms/dvds but I can not mount
them. The system waits infinitely until I tell k3b to eject cdrom.
In windows it works perfectly. I've upgraded bios. I rebooted some times.
I'll test 2.6.35 in experimental and let you know the results.

Please reopen.

Victor.

Bug#627185: git-svn do not uses gnome-keyring-daemon for pwd storage and modifies svn files when not needed.

2011-05-18 Thread logs
Package: git-svn
Version: 1:1.7.4.1-5
Severity: wishlist

Hi there,

I've tried to configure git-svn to use gnome-keyring-daemon with no luck at all.
Indeed, I have found that it modifies stored pwd file svn uses and then
I have to write my pwd each time until I use again subversion (which changes

Could you make git-svn work with gnome-keyring?
The only way I am not forced to write the pwd each time is by setting in
subversion
store-plaintext-passwords = yes
and this is not acceptable ...

Thanks.
