Bug#911297: wpasupplicant: WPA EAP broken

2018-11-26 Thread luca boncompagni
Hi to all,

I try to patch wpa_suppplicant with the following patch:

diff --git a/src/crypto/tls_openssl.c b/src/crypto/tls_openssl.c
index 0d5ebda69..acf0f8b0c 100644
--- a/src/crypto/tls_openssl.c
+++ b/src/crypto/tls_openssl.c
@@ -988,6 +990,7 @@ void * tls_init(const struct tls_config *conf)
os_free(data);
return NULL;
}
+   SSL_CTX_set_min_proto_version(ssl, TLS1_VERSION);
data->ssl = ssl;
if (conf)
data->tls_session_lifetime = conf->tls_session_lifetime;

And without changing the default ssl configuration now wpa_supplicant
works in my environment. Obviuosly, this can't be a solution.

Wich API do you think is better to use:

1) SSL_CONF_cmd_argv
(https://www.openssl.org/docs/man1.1.1/man3/SSL_CONF_cmd_argv.html)

2) OPENSSL_config
(https://www.openssl.org/docs/man1.1.1/man3/OPENSSL_config.html)

with (1) we can pass custom ssl configuration to wpa_supplicant, but
this must be integrated with NetworkManager

with (2) we can create a custom configuration file stanza in
/etc/ssl/openssl.cnf

Regards,
Luca

I have a chromecast in my network, disabiling the network, I was able to
run chromium and so I can disable the flag. Now it does not crash anymore.

Bug#840204: grub-pc: "GRUB! error: unknown filesystem" on ext4 with filesystem-level encryption

2016-10-09 Thread Luca Boncompagni
Package: grub-pc
Version: 2.02~beta2-36
Severity: normal
Tags: upstream

Dear Maintainer,

I enabled ext4 filesystem-level encryption with:

tune2fs -O encrypt /dev/sda1

On the next reboot I get "unknown filesystem".

If I try to run grub-probe I get the same error-message.

# grub-probe -d /dev/sda1
grub-probe: error: unknown filesystem.

2015-12-31 Thread Luca Boncompagni
Package: network-manager-openvpn

Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?

I have this problem after the last network-manager update, from 1.0.8-1 ->
1.0.10-1.

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
 ineffective)?

I'm tring to connect to my vpn-server

   * What was the outcome of this action?

I get the following error:

Dec 31 18:30:42 lucaws14 NetworkManager[650]:   platform-linux:

   * What outcome did you expect instead?

With the previous network-manager package I get the correct ipv4 route.

Dear Maintainer,
If I specify the following debconf parameter:

The entry in zz_debconf.conf is not modified:

 Hi,

 with 2.17 same crash when launching Iceweseal.

 Try starting X under valgrind, and then make it crash (it'll be slow,
 but should work).

 Cheers,
 Julien

Hi,

I try start X with valgrind, but I have some problems. I use kdm and I
modified kdmrc with:

ServerCmd=/tmp/myscript.sh

the content of the script is:

#!bin/sh

exec /usr/bin/valgrind -v --log-file=/tmp/X.crash /usr/bin/X $@

I have also do:

chmod ug-s /usr/bin/X

all that I get is:

2011-06-06 Thread luca boncompagni
Package: boinc-client

Hi,

Trying to debug this with wireshark I get the following trace:

As you can see, after connetting to the server and start the ssl

Hi,

Hi Andrew,

Thanks,

 I think version 0.5.x would fix this problem for you. Please give it a
 try.

 Just keep in mind the lxde-common has been blocked by lxpanel to bulid
 binary packages for kfreebsd-i386 and kfreebsd-amd64.

 And I just update lxpanel to be able to build on kfreebsd-i386 and
 kfreebsd-amd64. It would works in a few days if you don't pull the
 lxde-common 0.5.x from Sid.

 Kindly regards,

 Hi,
 I try to open this as and udev bug (#524276) but Marco closed it because he
 think that this is not an udev bug.

 Yesterday, after upgarding my system (aptitude update aptitude
 safe-upgrade aptitude clean), when I restarted the system I was not able
 to use the mouse.
 If I load the psmouse manually it works.

 I have the same problem with all the other devices of my system (wlan,
 soundcard and webcam)

 Thanks,

Bug#523187: acpid upgarade problem

2009-04-16 Thread luca boncompagni
Hi,

I'm not able to upgrade acpid because I installed splashy, but I do not
enable it, I do not pass the splashy options in the boot parameters. The
upgrade scripts try to stop acpid but it fails because in the log_end_msg
functions it fails in the line 341 of /etc/lsb-base-logging.sh

338 [ -x $SPL_UPD ] || return 1;
339 [ ! -d $STEPS_DIR ]  mkdir -p $STEPS_DIR
340 SPL_PRG=$STEPS_DIR/$RUNLEVEL-progress
341 [ -f $SPL_PRG ] || return 1;

It cause also the problem that my system was not able to automatically load
the kernel modules.

To solve all the problems, I have to enable splashy, remove it, and then
upgrade acpid.

Thanks,
Luca

Hi,
after the last update I rebooted the pc and udev dos not load modules like
psmouse, ath5k or snd-intel8x0.
If I load these modules manually everithing is ok, udev creates the devices
under /dev/, and I can use it.

Bug#524286: general: kernel modules does not automatically load

2009-04-15 Thread Luca Boncompagni
Package: general
Severity: normal

Hi,
I try to open this as and udev bug (#524276) but Marco closed it because he
think that this is not an udev bug.

Yesterday, after upgarding my system (aptitude update aptitude safe-upgrade
 aptitude clean), when I restarted the system I was not able to use the mouse.
If I load the psmouse manually it works.

I have the same problem with all the other devices of my system (wlan,
soundcard and webcam)

Thanks,
Luca
