Bug#730290: gimp-ufraw: tiff files are opened by gimp-ufraw instead by plain gimp

2013-11-23 Thread malenki
Package: gimp-ufraw
Version: 0.19.2-2
Severity: normal

I have installed gimp and gimp-ufraw. When I try any way to open a tiff file
with gimp - be it on bash with gimp file.tif or out of with gimp - open file
or any context menu - the tif file gets opened by gimp-ufraw.

I found a thread on the ufraw-dev mailinglist¹ which mentions the issue I
address being fixed in 0.19 but gimp-ufraw 0.19.2-2 in debian testing still has
this issue.

Bug#699026: claws-mail: german translation at debian incomplete

You have installed an old -i18n package, have you tried to upgrade
 it to 3.9.0-1 ?

Sorry, mea culpa.
As I updated claws-mail by hand I did so only for the main package...
After doing so for the il8n-package fixed the bug.

This issue can be closed.

Sorry for the inconveniences,

 Hej,
Thanks. Just for completeness sake: Resetting the CP-Detector settings
(Open File-Preferences, switch to the [Control Point Detectors] tab
and activate the [Load Defaults] button.) worked perfectly well with
 2011.0.0+dfsg~beta3 from experimental.

Hm. I cannot guarantee that the file sent (from latest backup) was
identical with the one on which resetting to defaults did not seem to
work.
Besides: would it have made a difference if I had resetted to defaults
and restarted Hugin?

I am pretty sure you are running this from a user profile that was
previously using a non-Debian version of hugin (locallly compiled or
 unofficial packages).

my ~/ has a long history... (Debian, Fedora, Debian, Archlinux, Debian)

All versions of hugin uploaded to Debian have been patched to search
 for autopano-noop.

To fix this open File-Preferences, switch to the [Control Point
Detectors] tab and activate the [Load Defaults] button.

Partly right :)
Loading defaults did not change the behaviour.
So I renamed ~/.hugin to ~/.hugin_ and it worked like charm.

Thank you for the attention.
