Bug#809336: java-package: link points to nonexisting file

2015-12-31 Thread mhoram
Hi Emmanuel,

thanks for your reply.

I generated the package by calling

  make-jpkg jdk-8u66-linux-x64.tar.gz

The generated package oracle-java8-jdk_8u66_amd64.deb
has a dependency on ca-certificates-java

Since I don't have any openjdk installed, I downloaded
ca-certificates-java_20140324_all.deb
and installed both packages by calling:

  dpkg -i oracle-java8-jdk_8u66_amd64.deb
ca-certificates-java_20140324_all.deb

after which /etc/ssl/certs/java/cacerts does not exist.

Just tried a few variants and I found a workaround by calling instead of
the above:

  dpkg -i ca-certificates-java_20140324_all.deb
oracle-java8-jdk_8u66_amd64.deb

(just switching the order of the debs) which does generate
/etc/ssl/certs/java/cacerts

After figuring this out, I am not sure anymore if this is an issue of
java-package or if this should be reported to dpkg or ca-certificates-java.

Best wishes
Markus

Bug#809336: java-package: link points to nonexisting file

2015-12-29 Thread mhoram
Package: java-package
Version: 0.60
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

after creating and installing oracle-java8-jdk (8u66)
/usr/lib/jvm/jdk-8-oracle-x64/jre/lib/security/cacerts
links to the file
/etc/ssl/certs/java/cacerts
which does not exist.

For comparison: On Debian Jessie with java-package 0.56, after the installation
of oracle-java8-jdk (8u66)
/usr/lib/jvm/jdk-8-oracle-x64/jre/lib/security/cacerts
is a regular file.

I would expect that after the installation no symlinks are broken.

Best wishes
Markus

Bug#745805: libcatalyst-modules-perl: Request for Library Upgrade

2014-04-25 Thread mhoram
Package: libcatalyst-modules-perl
Version: 47
Severity: wishlist

Dear Maintainer,

I would like to request an update of the library
Catalyst::Model::DBIC::Schema
from version 0.61 to 0.62

http://search.cpan.org/~ilmari/Catalyst-Model-DBIC-Schema-0.62/

The reson is that in 0.61 the deprecated function Class::MOP::load_class
is used in the library Catalyst::Model::DBIC::Schema::Types.pm

Upstream version 0.62 resolves this issue.

Thanks in advance
Markus

Bug#690764: Bug still exists

2012-10-23 Thread mhoram

Hello,

I still have the same problem with package

libcurl3-gnutls_7.28.0-2_amd64.deb

So it seems to be related to #690551, but not the same issue.

Regards
Markus

Bug#690764: libcurl3-gnutls_7.28.0-1 breaks feature of git 1.7.10.4-1

2012-10-17 Thread Mhoram
Package: libcurl3-gnutls
Version: 7.28.0-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

I upgraded from libcurl3-gnutls_7.27.0-1_amd64.deb to
libcurl3-gnutls_7.28.0-1_amd64.deb

After this upgrade I was unable to use the following feature of git 1.7.10.4:

--- BEGIN ---
user@debian:~/project$ export GIT_SSL_NO_VERIFY=true
user@debian:~/project$ git clone https://u...@server.org/gitrepository/project1
Cloning into 'project1#'...
Password for 'https://u...@server.org':
fatal: Authentication failed
--- END ---

Yes, I used the correct password.

Downgrading to version 7.27.0-1 makes the authentication work again.

Markus

Bug#650092: debhelper: Dependency on man-db too strict

2011-11-26 Thread mhoram
Package: debhelper
Version: 8.9.11
Severity: wishlist

Dear Maintainer,

during work with debian package building in restricted environments I
encountered space problems.

Since the functionality of 'debhelper' does not seem to depend on 'man-db' (I
successfully compiled and installed for testing the debian sid packages
'debhelper' and 'perl' without installed 'man-db') I suggest to change the
dependency on 'man-db' from Depends to Recommends.

Bug#598797: phppgadmin: Location of apache-config-file inconsistent

2010-10-01 Thread mhoram
Package: phppgadmin
Version: 4.2.3-1
Severity: minor

Hi,

the configfile /etc/phppgadmin/apache.conf is linked from the directory
/etc/apache2/conf.d/

I think, it should be linked from /etc/apache2/sites-enabled/

I stubled upon this after moving phppgadmin to an virtual host. So it
was read before /etc/apache2/sites-enabled/000-default with the effect
that it was used as the default virtual host by apache, which it should
not be.

Markus
