Nothing special. I just got this error.
One note: I saw in /usr/sbin/fai-make-nfsroot (line 468):
if [ -n "$(apt-key list | grep 074BCDE4)" ]; then
This does not match the key and should be at least:
if [ -n "$(apt-key list | grep '074B CDE4')" ]; then

But this patch did not fix the ca-certificates.crt issue.

Bug#869551:

2017-07-25 Thread Oscar Barreca
I changed my username from none to noscar and screen works indeed perfectly
well. I can therefore confirm that incompatibility with the username none.
I'm also surprised that choosing such a username would introduce similar
malfunctionings.
As for me, I don't think I need to stick with none as a username - I will
find something else. Rather, I'm very glad someone was able to exactly
pinpoint the bug in such a very short time span.
(I couldn't reply earlier by the way, we were moving to another house
yesterday. :-)

Bug#869551: strace and gdb logs

2017-07-24 Thread Oscar Barreca
This is the output (stderr for strace) I received from running screen with
strace and gdb. I will leave strace logs as an attachment, hoping that is
possible.

This is, instead, what I get when running screen with gdb (I do not have
debugging symbols for screen):

(gdb) run
> Starting program: /usr/bin/screen

Bug#869551: screen: GNU screen returns immediately after being started, without reporting errors

2017-07-24 Thread Oscar
Package: screen
Version: 4.5.1-4
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

Dear Maintainer,

I've been having issues with screen since the day I upgraded my OS to Debian
9.0 with the testing
distribution. I can use it with the root account, but when entering "screen" in
the console while being
logged in as an ordinary user, screen returns immediately. The $? variable
invariably contains 0, and no
errors are reported on console.
We already discussed this problem briefly through e-mail, and I noted I had
opened a thread on SuperUser
(https://superuser.com/q/1223015/539790) several weeks ago.
I have trobleshooted a little using strace and gdb, and will perhaps paste
their logs in the follow up
replies to this message.

Bug#806789: isc-dhcp-client doesn't work with infiniband device

2015-12-01 Thread Oscar Lozano
Package: isc-dhcp-client
Version: 4.3.1-6
Severity: normal

The isc-dhcp-client doesn't recognize infiniband devices as a type supported to
use it on a dhcp request.
I think this behavior was reported in ticket #786350
(https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=786350) but it doesn't have
an answer yet.

As an example, I attach the output of a dhcp request over a ib0 device.

Bug#789581: ZoneComputer1304

Asunto: Bug#789581: devscripts: debuild can be made a thin wrapper over
dpkg-buildpackage again

Package: devscripts
Version: 2.15.5
Severity: wishlist

Hi!

As discussed in the past (although I'm afraid I don't have pointers handy), it
would be nice to make debuild a thin wrapper over dpkg-buildpackage, now that
the main blocker (shell hooks support) has been implemented in the latter.

If there's anything else that would block this, I'll gladly consider adding it
to dpkg-buildpackage!

Just filing this so that it does not get forgotten. :)

Thanks,
Guillem

I saw that in one minute pacemaker died due to a SEGFAULT.

Bug#785717: Route displayed as existent but has no effect on iptraffic

2015-05-19 Thread Oscar Knorn

Package: linux-image-3.2.0-4-amd64
Version: 3.2.60-1+deb7u3
Arch:amd64 Linux
Desc:3.2 for 64-bit PCs

When using 'route -n' or 'ip route show' a certain /24 Route is
displayed, but does not have effect on the routing decision of the
kernel.
After removing the bogus route and setting it once again, everything
works as expected.

Other packages in conjunction:
net-tools_1.60-24.2_amd64
iproute_20120521-3+b3_amd64
vlan_1.9-3_amd64
libc6_2.13-38+deb7u4_amd64

Bug#778422: moodle: PHP fatal error while using forum activity

2015-02-14 Thread Oscar Diaz
Package: moodle
Version: 2.7.5+dfsg-2
Severity: important
Tags: newcomer

Dear Maintainer,

When you add a forum activity and try to see a forum post, a HTTP 500 error is
returned. PHP log reports:

PHP Fatal error: Class 'core_availability\info_module' not found in
/usr/share/moodle/mod/forum/lib.php on line 5571

I found the fix from the original sources: the directory /availability is
missing from the installed deb package.

Once you put this directory under /usr/share/moodle, go to Administration
Site administration Notifications
to configure the missing directory, and then the forums start working.

I guess this is a packaging issue: I checked the downloaded deb package, and
also tried to build from source. Both
times the same directory is missing.

I hope this helps you to fix this bug. Best regards.

Bug#741697: linux-image-3.13-1-amd64: Radeon r600 driver fail when using HDMI monitor

2014-03-15 Thread Oscar Molin
Package: src:linux
Version: 3.13.5-1

Running Debian Jessie, and this problem appeared after upgrading to kernel
3.13-1 from 3.12-x
This may be similar to report 737684.
When running X with one monitor (DVI), and I plug in another (HDMI) and enable
it (xfce monitor utility) the system freezes completly.
When starting X with an HDMI monitor only, it fails to start correctly. Syslog

Bug#670804: Fwd: Bug#670804: Software flow control doesn't work correctly.

2014-01-05 Thread Oscar Molin

From: Oscar Molin oscarmo...@gmail.com

Subject: Re: Bug#670804: Software flow control doesn't work correctly.
To: Uwe Kleine-König u.kleine-koe...@pengutronix.de

Hi

Sorry but this was ages ago and I don't have access to this hardware
anymore to try it. It's possible these other terminal programs had
different tolerances with regards to stop bits etc and that the development
board I was using at the time was actually too far out of sync in terms of
baud rate. I seem to remember these MSP430s had a complicated clock system
and it might have deviated too much from the baud rate used by the PC.

If you want to investigate these effects you might consider using some
cheap embedded prototype board and set the clocks further and further away
from the correct speed and see which terminal program stops working first.

In my use case, the data amounts were small so the xoff/xon appeared very
often. Maybe they were mistaken for bits?

To clarify, the device I used was a Zolertia Z1, which is a wireless
prototyping board with a MSP430 microcontroller and a rs232 to usb bridge
chip, and it was connected to a PC using this usb connection.

If you think this would be an interesting line of inquiry, I actually have
access to a wide range of embedded prototyping and evaluation boards for a
wide range of microcontrollers as I'm now employed at an embedded
compiler/ide company so I could test some devices with microcom and other
terminal programs.

However I think the issue is general one so testing wouldn't really give
any useful data. Microcom is/was for some reason more picky about having
correct baud rate than other serial terminal programs like putty or nanocom
etc.

As you probably know, these boards rarely have the special 4.13MHz(or
whatever it is, it slips my mind at the moment) crystal for UART that most
PCs have, so the clock used by the UART in microcontrollers usually deviate
a few % from the clock in the host PC.

Best regards,
Oscar Molin

With software flow control you mean you do flow soft in the microcom
 menu?

Can you please provide the output of

 stty -F /dev/ttyUSB0

once with microcom running with software flow control and once with
putty or nanocom. (So once with the broken state and once with the good

Package: iagno
Version: 1:3.4.2-3

Dear Maintainer,

iagno crashed close to the end of a game (CPU was losing) with only two places
left to fill.
After placing my marker, the sound effect was played repeatedly for maybe 10
(that I could hear) times and the game window disappeared without any message.

In syslog the following line was repeated around 200 times:
Oct 15 XX:XX:XX hostname pulseaudio[4019]: [pulseaudio] sink-input.c: Failed to
create sink input: too many inputs per sink.

Game settings was CPU player level 1 difficulty.

Bug#620351: amarok: unable to set collection path since last upgrade

2011-05-06 Thread Oscar Vidakovic
Hi,

Currently I'm having the same problem. Doing a little investigation I've
found that the problem is not the local collection place (I've got it
mounted from a samba share from my homeserver) but using an external MySQL
server. If you look in the database section in preferences you should find a
message asking to set up the right privileges to the DB user user. Because
the external collection DB is not loaded, the collection path information is
not loaded too.

I've spended some time trying to find the reason why Amarok is not able to
connect to the external MySQL DB, but with no success. Can someone help me
with it?

Bug#619865: Intel i915 compatible and drm xorg problem

2011-04-19 Thread Oscar Cassetti
Hello,

After updating to xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.14.0-4 I had the same
problem on debian wheezy/sid
I experienced this problem both on kernel 2.6.35.2 and 2.6.38.2
See the logs below.

I fixed my system by removing the package xserver-xorg-video-intel and
compiling from original source
xf86-video-intel-2.13.0 from Xorg project.

I would suggest to revert the changes since this is a pretty serious bug.

I just ran apt-get upgrade on my squeeze/sid and I this error.
I found a workaround that could be useful in case you are stuck and
you need to play some video.
As root
cd /usr/lib
ln -s libva.so.1 libva-0.31.0.6.so.1

I think it could be solved by installing libva-0.31 from source (again
another workaround)

Bug#539001: more on qtiplot

2009-08-10 Thread Oscar Frasciello

Hi,
thanks a lot for your reply, don't worry for the time delay! :-)
The package works fine.
Please, excuse me if i ask you something else, but i's like to know if
there are any ways to:

1) enhance qtiplot speed..when several plots are made on a same project,
any change or operation (just as right-mouse clicking) takes really a
lot (too much) time, even on powerful machines (high-accelerated graphic
card provided) but more on light machines (just as my Asus eee-pc 1000H);

2) emulate many origin-like software plotting function every points;
it's useful when handling curves with a lot of data in a given range,
so one can plot not all the data set but a given sub-set choosen AMONG
all the data, for example among 400 data points i plot EVERY 10 so the
data plotted are just 40; i wasn't able to find, if it exist, this
option in qtiplot.

I'll really appreciate your support.
Thanks a lot in advance.
Cheers,
Oscar

It's been available for a very short time, look for git-core-dev in

Do you mean *was* available?

 * debian/control, debian/rules: remove git-core-dev package again,

Is it likely that we'll see anything here ever? In other words, I have
a package that
depends on libgit that downloads git as part of the build--probably not
an acceptable
build methodology. Am I going to have an option to build it using
libgit from git-core?

It depends on upstream. Back then, Junio asked to not provide such a
library package in Debian, and I respect that. There've been some plans
and effort to stabilize the lib in the past, but I'm not sure about the
status.

Regards, Gerrit.

Would it be a compromise to provide libgit.a as a static library for
until it stabilizes?

It could be, but my working theory right now is that synergy is not
conforming to the X11 spec; it's assuming something that used to be
true, but strictly speaking couldn't be assumed. Moving from the old
X11 libs to the new XCB-based ones changed things, I think.

We had a similar problem with the client that should now be fixed.

ARGH!!! Sorry about that ... this has been corrected. This time it has been
corrected properly.

I will add your mirror to the list as soon as the rsync path is ok.

Archive-upstream: ftp.us.debian.org

Please take care at http://www.debian.org/mirrors/ftpmirror#wherefrom :
you *MUST* precise which server you use in ftp.us.debian.org (which is a
round robin).
You can select one out of : ftp.egr.msu.edu mirrors.kernel.org
debian.osuosl.org debian.lcs.mit.edu

I will be using ftp.egr.msu.edu

Something I forgot to precise: this problem mostly concerns the two

stages rsync script, so the explicit mirror must be configured in
anonftpsync as well.

If I understood correctly then I've already done this. In my anonftpsync script
I have:

RSYNC_HOST=ftp.egr.msu.edu

listed at http://www.debian.org/mirrors/ftpmirror.

Please use anonftpsync, it allows the mirror to be operational even
during its update, and generates the requited trace files to track
mirrors activity.

Fixed. I will now use anonftpsync and am running it right now.

Archive-rsync: debian/

Not accessible at debian, but Debian is recognized.
Could you rename your module to debian ?

Corrected

CDImage-ftp: /pub/debian-cd/
CDImage-http: /debian-cd/
CDImage-rsync: debian-cd/

Same as above, accessible at Debian-CD
Could you rename your module to debian-cd ?

Corrected

IPv6: no
Archive-upstream: ftp.us.debian.org

Please take care at http://www.debian.org/mirrors/ftpmirror#wherefrom :
you *MUST* precise which server you use in ftp.us.debian.org (which is a
round robin).

You can select one out of : ftp.egr.msu.edu mirrors.kernel.org
debian.osuosl.org debian.lcs.mit.edu

I will be using ftp.egr.msu.edu

Thanks for mirroring Debian and best regards,

Thank you and best regards to you as well.

Bug#198658: Shipping Clerk - flexible time work-at-home opening

2007-09-29 Thread Oscar

Our company is looking for energetic and accountable individuals to occupy
Shipping Clerk positions throughout the USA. These vacancies are entirely
home-based and do not require any travel or relocation. They are also
suitable for students and senior citizens who are able to dedicate up to
three business hours per day to their duties. No special qualifications are
required, although previous shipping or customer service experience is a
plus. We are an international company providing mail/internet order
opportunities for a global clientele since 1997. We are based in Russia, and
also have offices in Latvia and Kazakhstan. Our business provides
online/Online Order facilities for those who are unable to benefit from the
convenience of e-commerce due to lack of a banking relationship with an
internationally recognized bank or because major online vendors will not
ship to their location. We have domestic purchasing agents who place the
orders on behalf of our clients, and the goods are then shipped to the local
shipping clerks for further sorting and international shipment. We also
provide escrow services for high amount and/or web auction orders, and offer
assistance with customs clearance, if required. Currently, we are looking
for individuals to fill in the positions of shipping clerks throughout the
USA. Your duties will include receiving, sorting, repackaging and re-sending
the orders made on behalf of our clients using the pre-paid USPS shipping
labels that you will receive via email. You will be paid $20 for each parcel
that you ship, plus $5 for each order that you will need to re-sort or
re-package. We will also cover any other authorized expense, such as extra
insurance or shipping materials. Your remuneration will be remitted to you
via Western Union twice a month. You can expect to handle 5-15 incoming
packages weekly, following a 2 week probation period. You can perform your
duties from the convenience of your home. You will generally be re-shipping
the orders on same day or next day basis, so you will not need to sacrifice
your home space to storage. You will only be receiving orders placed with
reputable online vendors and delivered by major courier services, such as
FedEx and UPS, who pay great attention to ensuring that they are not
involved into trafficking any illegal substances or hazardous materials.
Thus, there will be no risk on your end. We also encourage you to open and
inspect each package that you receive to ensure the legitimacy and safety of
itsâ content. In order to fill the shipping clerk position, you need to be
aged 18 and above, have a permanent address where you are available on a
regular basis and also have access to phone and email. In order to ensure
that you can be entrusted the client merchandise, we will need to verify
your identity and confirm that you do not have any previous criminal
convictions. To apply for this position and for more information on our
company, please fax your resume and (optionally) cover letter to: (309)
  431-7288.

Bug#391867: port is slow to respond on computer with SATA disk

2007-01-08 Thread oscar
Hullo

I am having the same problem.

I built a kernel from the sources here:
http://people.debian.org/~nobse/kernel/linux-2.6/i386/

The problem is less severe but still a showstopper for production use. I
too am looking forward to getting this fixed.

When I user dd to fill one of the partitions I still triggered the
error. I was able to fill disk without errors once.
Then when I was removing the test file it triggered. It's a 10GB file.

Bug#388468: offlineimap: I think this is an ssh issue

2006-10-09 Thread P. Oscar Boykin
Package: offlineimap
Followup-For: Bug #388468

After looking into this more, I was using offlineimap over an ssh connection.
All ssh connections to this machine later became very unreliable (i.e. they
would
stall and block indefinitely). I'm not sure why. In any case, after rebooting
the remote machine, I have not seen the problem return. I think it is safe to
close this bug report.

Bug#388808: php5: disabling session.gc_probability prevents garbage collection if alternate session.save_path is used

2006-09-22 Thread Oscar Merida
Package: php5
Version: 5.1.6-0.dotdeb.2
Severity: minor

If your php script or application uses a different session.save_path without
also setting session.gc_probability to non-zero, old sessions will not be
deleted, since garbage colleciton won't run.

The comments around session.gc_divisor should be amended to make sys admins
aware of this. Something along the lines of:

; This is disabled in the Debian packages, due to the strict permissions
; on /var/lib/php5. Instead of setting this here, see the cronjob at
; /etc/cron.d/php5, which uses the session.gc_maxlifetime setting below
; If your php scripts use their own session.save_path, either make sure they
; enable garbage collection by setting session.gc_probability or globally
; enable it here.

Not to be a PITA but is there a time plan for the official packages?
I'm thinking about using Karl-Heinz packages but if the official
packages are about to be released soon I don't think I will. I'd prefer
to use the official if possible.

Bug#363913: patch to fix bug.

2006-05-05 Thread P. Oscar Boykin
Attached it a patch which fixes the bug for me.

The problem is that there is (for me and I believe the original
submitter) a section in the configuration which does not have the
Default option. This triggers an exception in the Configuration
parser. I just added a check to verify that the option was there prior
to getting it.

I have attached a patch to fix the bug.

PS: this is a great thing about having python software in Debian, one
always has the source code so it is very convenient to look for the
bug.

Best,

Bug#315311: evince: printing always sends a4 paper size (despite gnome-printer settings)

2005-06-21 Thread P. Oscar Boykin
Package: evince
Version: 0.3.0-2
Severity: normal

Anytime I print an A4 size paper seems to be used, which my printer
cannot handle. Sending the same job to the printer using lpr or xpdf
seems to work.

I believe evince uses the gnome-printing libraries, and the
configuration for that appears to be Paper size: US Letter. Evince
itself does not seem to have any options for setting paper size.

Bug#291275: printing crashes planner without libgnomeprint

2005-01-19 Thread P. Oscar Boykin
Package: planner
Version: 0.12-3.1
Severity: important

Planner does not seem to depend on libgnomeprint2.2-0, but without it
installed, pressing the print button will cause planner to crash.

(Or, I was able to install planner with apt without having
libgnomeprint2.2-0).

I guess planner should depend on libgnomeprint2.2-0.

Thanks.
