Bug#918463: Sound volume jumps to maximum volume when new video starts
Package: pavucontrol-qt Version: 0.2.0-1 I am running Debian 9 Stable (Jessie) with LXQt. When I adjust the desired volume with Pavucontrol-Qt and a new track starts (e.g. on YouTube), the volume slider always jumps back to maximum volume what is a bit annoying. Could you have a look if there is some bug related for this behavior? The situation appears when: - starting new tracks on YouTube (browser runs in QEMU-VM) - continuing current tracks on YouTube after loading - several other videos played via browser I am confused what could cause this. Thanks a lot for your help! With best regards! Daniel
Bug#912324: BleachBit causing error since updating Firefox to Firefox Quantum 60.0 ESR
Package: bleachbit Version: 1.12-1 I am running Debian 9 (Stretch). With previous Firefox versions BleachBit has worked completely fine. However, since updating Firefox to Firefox Quantum 60.0 ESR now Bleachbit is causing the following error: Error in execution of 0x7f939785e710> Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/share/bleachbit/bleachbit/Worker.py", line 84, in execute for ret in cmd.execute(self.really_delete): File "/usr/share/bleachbit/bleachbit/Command.py", line 149, in execute self.func(self.path) File "/usr/share/bleachbit/bleachbit/Special.py", line 281, in delete_mozilla_url_history FileUtilities.execute_sqlite3(path, cmds) File "/usr/share/bleachbit/bleachbit/FileUtilities.py", line 307, in execute_sqlite3 '%s: %s' % (Common.decode_str(exc), path)) DatabaseError: no such table: moz_favicons: /home/user/.mozilla/firefox/kztmefbe.default/places.sqlite In the attachement there is a further screenshot of the error. Maybe you can have a look at that one? Thanks a lot in advance! :-) With best regards! Daniel
Bug#908315: Pavucontrol-Qt loosing lock of left and right speaker channel
Package: pavucontrol-qt Version: 0.2.0-1 Many times it happens that Pavucontrol-Qt is loosing the lock between left + right speaker channel, so the right speaker is getting louder than the left one (or the other way around) when adjusting the volume. Afterwards when opening Pavucontrol-Qt the lock is still existent, but the volume levels of the channels have a gap in between. I don't know how this can happen? This behavior occurres when increasing the system volume by "scrolling up" the volume with the mouse wheel at the loudspeaker symbol of the taskbar. In my case it happened many times already. I am just wondering about the fact that the channels get adjusted independently of each other, although even the lock symbol is still activated? Thanks a lot for your efforts! With best regards! Daniel
Bug#907692: Feature request for CMST and/or Connman/Connman-VPN
Package: cmst Version: 2016.10.03-2 Actually this is more a feature request, not a bug. Because of the fact that CMST is also relevant for the Connman-developers I also put its maintainers as recipients in here. While browsing through the internet I found an interesting entry on StackExchange where a user has reported the same issue with Connman-VPN that I have experienced many times by myself. The challenge is: When using Connman with a OpenConnect VPN-connection some VPN servers request user authentication via cookie. This cookie has to be generated before connecting to the VPN. Hereby in most cases the cookie is only valid for a few hours, but not for a longer period of time. Therefore the user has to renew his cookie all few hours manually by hand. While Connman's "competitor" NetworkManager can handle those regenerations of the cookie by himself, in Connman it is necessary to do this by hand. To do so, every time you want to connect to the VPN you have to execute a little command in shell that will do the job for you. This script is generating the cookie and writes the new cookie into the VPN provisioning file /var/lib/connman-vpn/vpnname.config. Afterwards you can connect to the VPN successfully. - My idea now is: Would it be possible to add some option into CMST to run a small script every time when clicking on "Connect"? Just an additional input field where you can enter some custom code that has to be executed when clicking on "Connect"? This code could execute the renewing process of the cookie, either by launching a small external *.sh bash-script or by immediate insertion of this code into the custom field. Another idea on how to call this command: Maybe it would be possible to insert this command into the VPN provisioning file /var/lib/connman-vpn/vpnname.config directly and tell CMST that it has to execute this command first before connecting to the VPN. Just an additional variable line called "ExecuteCodeWhenConnecting = blablabla" or similar. You can have a look at the more detailed explanation of this issue here: https://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/449174/connman-how-to-set-up-openconnect-vpn-with-csd-wrapper-correctly A function like that would gain huge improvements in user comfort. What do you think about it? I am very happy to hear from you! With best regards Daniel
Bug#907430: Archiving with archiving tool "Ark" does not work in LXQt
Package: ark Version: 4:16.08.3-2 Dear Debian-team, hereby you receive a bug report for archiving tool "Ark". When using Ark with LXQt in Debian Stretch it will throw an error when trying to create any kind of archive (see screenshot in attachement). It seems that this version of Ark is not compatible with other desktop environments than KDE? Probably Ark requires "klauncher" to work successfully. However, unarchiving seems to be possible, but not archiving. I am using Debian GNU/Linux 9, kernel 4.9.0.8 with desktop environment LXQt. Thanks a lot for your great efforts! With best regards!
