Package: libvlc0 Version: 0.8.6.h-4+lenny2 Severity: important File: libvlc
A program that uses libvlc does not find libvlc ( with an installed package libvlc0). After installing the package libvlc0-dev that program does find the library libvlc. But i should not have to install a dev package to run any program. I removed libvlc0-dev again and my program does not find the library libvlc. Now i checked /usr/lib and found: libvlc.so.0.0.8 a symlink libvlc.so.0 but no libvlc.so -- System Information: Debian Release: 5.0 APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-1-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages libvlc0 depends on: ii libavcodec51 0.svn20080206-14 ffmpeg codec library ii libc6 2.7-16 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libdbus-1-3 1.2.1-4 simple interprocess messaging syst ii libdvbpsi4 0.1.5-3.1 library for MPEG TS and DVB PSI ta ii libgcc1 1:4.3.2-1.1 GCC support library ii libhal1 0.5.11-8 Hardware Abstraction Layer - share ii libogg0 1.1.3-4 Ogg Bitstream Library ii libstdc++6 4.3.2-1.1 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii libtheora0 1.0~beta3-1 The Theora Video Compression Codec libvlc0 recommends no packages. libvlc0 suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
