Bug#1030753: rust-all: need for rust 1.66.1
Package: rust-all Severity: important X-Debbugs-Cc: vmxevils...@gmail.com Dear Maintainer, We need to upgrade Rust to 1.66.1 to receive new language features and also help the desktop team to track the newer version of Firefox. For example compiling gecko from firefox git gives the error checking rustc version... 1.64.0 checking cargo version... 1.65.0 ERROR: Rust compiler 1.64.0 is too old. To compile Rust language sources please install at least version 1.65.0 of the 'rustc' toolchain (or, if using nightly, at least one version newer than 1.65.0) and make sure it is first in your path. You can verify this by typing 'rustc --version'. If you have the 'rustup' tool installed you can upgrade to the latest release by typing 'rustup update'. The installer is available from https://rustup.rs/ -- System Information: Debian Release: bookworm/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (750, 'experimental'), (700, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 6.2.0-rc7 (SMP w/16 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_PROPRIETARY_MODULE, TAINT_WARN, TAINT_OOT_MODULE, TAINT_UNSIGNED_MODULE Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled
Bug#1030748: tracker.debian.org doesn't display the correct linux kernel rc upstream version
Package: tracker.debian.org Severity: important X-Debbugs-Cc: vmxevils...@gmail.com Dear Maintainer, I have noticed that on https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/linux the new upstream version takes ages to update. for example now it displays "A new upstream version is available: 6.2~rc6" while on https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git and https://kernel.org/ the latest upstream rc version is mainline: 6.2-rc7 2023-02-05 Thanks for your time in fixing this

Bug#1029263: realtek: stability problems with realtek gigabit ethernet on stable and rc kernels
Package: linux-image-6.2.0-rc4 Version: 6.2.0-rc4-2 Severity: severe File: realtek X-Debbugs-Cc: vmxevils...@gmail.com Dear Mantainers, I am having an issue with my ethernet card. It works when the system boots but after around a couple of hours it disconnects. I tried different ways to get it working without having to reboot but nothing else seemed to work. Even rebooting doesn't solve the problem since again, after a couple of hours, it stops working again. I have googled around and found that some people had this same problem on older kernels but no solution seemed to apply to this rc nor latest stable kernel versions. I am probably missing something here. The issue happened also with recent stable 6.1.7 and rc kernel versions. I am actually testing the latest 6.2-rc4 version. Following are some data I think might be useful but if you feel I neglected to give enough informations and you need more please just ask me.
