Although not clear to me why you wanted to wait, this happened 3.5 days
ago. Will you do the source only upload soon?

ohh. sorry for it. I upload gcc-11-cross-mipsen some days ago.
I thought that gcc-defaults-mipsen will migrate ok.

I will fix it just now.

You are aware that gcc-12-cross-mipsen needs another source-only upload
because it's new and you needed to upload all binaries but non-buildd
built binaries are not allowed to migrate. Unfortunately on the current
infrastructure binNMU's of arch:all binaries don't work.
gcc-12-cross-mipsen needs to be able to migrate together with
gcc-11-cross-mipsen (and gcc-defaults-mipsen).

Any progress? It has been 1.5 months and I haven't seen anything
happening. This is NOK. gcc-defaults-mipsen is a key package, so I can't
just remove it. Please ensure the package can migrate. It seems to me
that your failing to build all kind of required packages, although it's
not clear if those should come from e.g. gcc-11 (which apparently
started to build again itself on mipsel and mips64el. I'm not versed
enough in how this piece of toolchain should work. If you need my help
as a Release Team member, don't hesitate to reach out, but I don't want
to spend time on reverse engineering this *.

Bug#1001595: src:gcc-defaults-mipsen: fails to migrate to testing for too long

2021-12-12 Thread Paul Gevers

Source: gcc-defaults-mipsen
Version: 1.189
Severity: serious

Dear maintainer(s),

The Release Team considers packages that are out-of-sync between testing
and unstable for more than 60 days as having a Release Critical bug in
testing [1]. Your package src:gcc-defaults-mipsen has been trying to
migrate for 62 days [2]. Hence, I am filing this bug.

If a package is out of sync between unstable and testing for a longer
period, this usually means that bugs in the package in testing cannot be
fixed via unstable. Additionally, blocked packages can have impact on
other packages, which makes preparing for the release more difficult.
Finally, it often exposes issues with the package and/or
its (reverse-)dependencies. We expect maintainers to fix issues that
hamper the migration of their package in a timely manner.

This bug will trigger auto-removal when appropriate. As with all new
bugs, there will be at least 30 days before the package is auto-removed.

I have immediately closed this bug with the version in unstable, so if
that version or a later version migrates, this bug will no longer affect
testing. I have also tagged this bug to only affect sid and bookworm, so
it doesn't affect (old-)stable.

If you believe your package is unable to migrate to testing due to
issues beyond your control, don't hesitate to contact the Release Team.
