yes, this has been fixed in 1.14-1 and newer.

correct, however, since there are other issues with that version of the
package, fixing this in stable would

a) require several updates and fixes that make it unsuitable for an
   update in stable and
b) is not needed/required for the package to work.

therefore, I mark the bug report as fixed as of 1.14-1.
