Technically the real blocker is #1001786. In any case I will not upload a git/snapshot to debian sid. It was discussed with upstream: * https://github.com/libjxl/libjxl/pull/1288#issuecomment-1080811717 We should have an actual release for this summer. This is the one planned for sid. -M

There is a proposal for GNOME 43 to use this library. (The next Debian Stable release is expected to include as much of GNOME 43 as possible.) https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-build-meta/-/issues/502 Also webkit2gtk has an experimental option to build with this library. Thank you, Jeremy Bicha
