Looks like there are some more errors for --help, see this command:

$ zgrep -iE -- '-help|not valid' /usr/share/man/man1/pdb_*.1.gz

Also a lot of the manual pages are even more broken now, some of them
contain just an error message from the program and no help text but
that help text was present in the 2.5.0-1 upload. I used diffoscope to
compare the 2.5.0-1 and 2.5.0-2 binaries to notice this.

I think I was not clear enough, I meant that in each individual manual
page, there are paragraphs that were copied a couple of times. However
it seems these all of these issues were fixed in the 2.5.0-2 upload
though, at least according the diffoscope and grep.

$ zgrep 'This program is part of the' /usr/share/man/man1/pdb_*.1.gz | sed
s/:.*// | sort | uniq -c | sort -n

Hello,

Thanks for the report.

This was caused by '--version' option not being supported by some of the
programs. Fixed in 2.5.0-2 upload.

  * They have lots of duplicate paragraphs of text.

Not sure this is necessary undesirable. The upstream wants every program
to print a notice on them belonging to a group and suggestion to
distribute them as a group, what might be addressed to Debian's
derivatives. However, if you think these paragraphs should be moved to
package description or debian/README.Debian, this could be done, but
will need quite extensive patching.

Best,
