Interestingly, the error due to "-Werror=maybe-uninitialized" does not show on the openSUSE builds, see [1]. openSUSE does not ship any patch to address the issue though. Fedora doesn't seem to have a patch to address the issue either [2]. Also, no update from upstream either.
