Bug#1021125: Bug#1021576: linphone-desktop: Core dumped: Program terminated with signal SIGABRT, Aborted.
Hi, I think this Bug can be downgraded and/or closed. We've rebuilt both dependencies in Debian (liblime and linphone). Since soci is not using shlibs the generated dependency is on the 4.0.3 anyway. I don't see a way to fix this without breaking lime/linphone again. Bernhard

While it would make addressing #1021125 less urgent, that bug still needs to be fixed eventually for Bookworm. Otherwise people might falsely assume they can stay on soci 4.0.1 while upgrading liblinphone10 and liblime0 to 5.0.37 (or their 5.1 successors). Having it fixed before the linphone-stack 5.1/4.4 uploads would save work. Regards

As noted above I tried to use the unstable packages, and got a partial upgrade as you gathered. I was sure that I had linphone-desktop-dbgsym installed, but somehow it was not present. Now installed, but gdb -c core still not giving anything useful. I currently have no > information I can work with. Understood. I don't use gdb very often, so will need to refresh my memory. This is a just a quick response untill I have time to explore further. But I emphasize that I just did my routine (normally daily) apt-get upgrade and apt-get dist-upgrade, and that broke linphone. I can't remember when I last used linphone, but it was within a few days. Hope to report much more soon...
