If upstream does not respond quickly you might like to use /usr/lib/debian-med/bin which is used in packages like plink, king-probe and others and Debian Med users should be able to easily setup their PATH. Hope this helps Andreas. -- http://fam-tille.de

control: forwarded -1 https://github.com/seqan/needle/issues/128 They are different programs, with different interfaces, alas. So a workaround will be needed: probably we should rename the binary `seqan-needle` and provide a directory with a regular `needle` that can be added to a user's `PATH`. Do you think this "needle" (which is an unfortunate name in both packages) is a drop in replacement for needle inside emboss or is it something else? Kind regards Andreas. -- http://fam-tille.de
