Bug#1033307: RFS: 86box/3.7.1-1 [ITP] -- An emulator for classic IBM PC clones

2023-03-30 Thread sun min
Hi, Stephen:

Thanks for preparing this! Unfortunately it is not ready for upload.

Why did you remove most of the debian/copyright content? Please restore the
information it had previously.
The new debian/copyright file contains detailed copy info of different source
code, it becomes rather complex and need be carefully reviewed.

Almost all the warnings are addressed, especially those copyright related.

Since you’ve added a +ds suffix, I take it you’re repackaging the upstream
tarball; could you clarify what changes you’ve made to that? Are any files
removed? If so, they should be listed in debian/copyright too, in
Files-Excluded.

The +ds suffix has been removed I think it is not necessary.

I prepared a new uploading [1], anyone interested in this package ,please help
review Upload #2.

All the modifications has been synced to sala personal repo[2].

Notice: The pristine-tar branch has not been created yet.

Besides, like any other game-related emulator,this package depends on non-free
roms, so another data package need to be uploaded later.

Package: sponsorship-requests
Severity: wishlist

Dear mentors,

I am looking for a sponsor for my package "86box":

 * Package name : 86box
   Version  : 3.11+ds-1
   Upstream contact : OBattler
 * URL  : https://86box.net/
 * License  : GPL-2
 * Vcs  : https://salsa.debian.org/sunmin/86box
   Section  : otherosfs

The source builds the following binary packages:

  86box - classic IBM PC emulator

To access further information about this package, please visit the following
URL:

  https://mentors.debian.net/package/86box/

Alternatively, you can download the package with 'dget' using this command:

  dget -x
https://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/8/86box/86box_3.11+ds-1.dsc

Changes for the initial release:

 86box (3.11+ds-1) UNRELEASED; urgency=low
 .
   * Initial release. (Closes: #996637)

 86Box is a low level x86 emulator that runs older operating systems
 and software designed for IBM PC systems and compatibles from 1981
 through fairly recent system designs based on the PCI bus.
