I've tested pam-auth-update on both bookworm and unstable (simply by fetching the script from the master branch on salsa) and now e.g. ./pam-auth-update --disable ldap does what it is supposed to and removes all pam_ldap.so entries from /etc/pam.d/*, invoking it interactively afterwards also shows the module as disabled. -- Guido Berhoerster

Are there plans to get this into stable-updates? This is needed in debian-edu-config in bookworm, we get libpam-ldapd as a dependency via nslcd and need to programmatically disable pam_ldap as we use Kerberos (see https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1051841#20). -- Guido Berhoerster
