Thanks for the advice.

I will process the package in the next day or so. Playing priority catch-up
after a number
of days in bed due to my back condition.

Hi Gianfranco,

I think I need advice here. I am tempted to breaks replace and upgrade all to
libnanomsg6
and then work with upstream on SONAMES etc. How would you and Tobias proceed?

yes, this is correct. Change soname and go for experimental, and ask upstream
to change soname only
if symbols are changed.

Morning Tobias,

Thanks for granting me write access to the nanomsg git. In error I saw this
email and assumed I had
upload also, so I daftly removed the package from mentors. It all works out for
the best, I will
change it to target the experimental pocket as you point out is correct for
such transitions and do
another RFS.

I recently adopted 'bglibs' and have have upload now, but no git maintainer
access. If you happen to
have a free minute, could you add this for me?

Thanks for again assisting in my Debian learning and do appreciate it.

Regards

Phil

Hi Phil,

Thanks for planing to adopt nanomsg!

(I've granted you access rights to the salsa repository, you should be
able to commit your changes - a recommendation here is to ask for this
in the RFS, not only as a comment on mentors.d.n)

The package seems to be gone from mentors, so the bot auto-closed this RFS.
However, based on below changelog information, some feedback.

Please note that there is a mandotory procedure to be followed when
there is a SO-NAME bump. You can find the details here:
https://wiki.debian.org/Teams/ReleaseTeam/Transitions (for example you
need to target experimental first, this was the glue for me that it
seems not to be followed.)

   * Add 'd/patches/lintian-overrides'.
 - Add 'nanomsg source: debian-watch-does-not-check-openpgp-signature'.

   * Add 'd/upstream/metadata'.
   * d/watch: Use latest GitHub API format.
   * d/README.source: Remove old data about archive naming.

Regards
