At some point fluxbox stopped supporting the old style tabbed behaviour. It now only supports 'windows' style tab behaviour. I consider it a bug that there is no configuration option available that I can set (for example 'Mod1 Tab :NextWindow -1') which will allow me to return to the old behaviour where tab just cycled plainly through the list of windows, no hopping backwards or forwards, and alt-tab can be configured similarly to cycle backwards.
