Bug#293116: luola-levels: Missing dependency on luola?

2005-02-01 Thread Helge Kreutzmann
Package: luola-levels
Version: 5.1-1
Severity: normal

I found the package luola-levels and installed it, assuming that the
package-management system would take care of the rest. But there is no
relation declared from luola-levels to luola. Does it make sense to
install the levels alone? If so, then at least a Recommends: should be
placed.

If, for some reason, you absolutely cannot put any relationship (which
I doubt) than at least include a README.Debian explaining things,
right now the only reference I found within the Debian package was a
single line to a web page in the README:
http://www.saunalahti.fi/~laakkon1/linux/luola/index.php

This package contains the level files for luola.

Some people might just want to have a look at the level files without ever
playing the game, while others install random packages and expect something
magical to happen. But Recommends might have been appropriate.

This has already been fixed in luola-levels_5.1-2, but for another reason.

luola-levels_5.1-2_all.deb:
Depends: luola (= 1.2.6-1)

Unfortunately the matching luola has not made it into testing yet, because
sdl-mixer1.2 is out of date on some arches, so the fixed luola-levels will
make it into testing only after sdl-mixer1.2 is updated. Do I have to tag
the bug as pending now? It is fixed in unstable, and there is nothing I can
do about sdl-mixer...
