Hi!

Andreas Rabus [2005-02-07 12:46 +0100]:
 Package: postgresql

 Severity: normal

 Hi,
 i got the following error message after dist-upgrade

 /var/lib/dpkg/info/postgresql.postinst: line 323:
 /usr/share/postgresql/postmaster.conf.in: No such file or directory

 The mentione file didn't exists and is not in the package, as dpkg -L shows.

 Or is it really a bug?

This is really odd:

$ wget
http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian/pool/main/p/postgresql/postgresql_7.4.7-1_i386.deb
[...]
$ $ ar p postgresql_7.4.7-1_i386.deb data.tar.gz | tar tz | grep postmaster.conf
./usr/share/postgresql/postmaster.conf.in

Can you please recheck your deb whether it really does not contain the
file? If so, which mirror are you using? If not, were there any other
messages during package installation?

Thanks,

Martin
