Bug#297629: ITP: gallery2 -- web-based photo album written in PHP
* Michael Schultheiss | There are upgrade paths from G1 to G2 but G2 is currently in alpha, soon | to be beta. I wouldn't want to replace the current G1 package with G2 | until G2 goes golden. Uploading to experimental sounds like a good idea, then. -- Tollef Fog Heen,''`. Hi Michael, just courious: Are you planning to provide backports for stable? And how painfull is an upgrade from gallery 1.3.x? (The video thumbnailer features sounds really really interesting for a gallery hosted by me, on woody, though). It looks to a be a completely different program than the original gallery that happens to be run by the same author and have a similar name. The G2 Developer's Guide screams second system (ref Brooks). They're still releasing updates to the 1.x series. There's no sign of an upgrade path yet. There are are several web photo albums in Debian. Another one that's likely to be popular and well supported long term won't hurt.
