Hi there,

I don't think you're using the latest version of drivel.

My output of debc show teh follwoing files 'owned' by drivel:
/usr/share/application-registry/drivel.applications
/usr/share/mime-info/drivel.keys
/usr/share/mime-info/drivel.mime
/usr/share/mime/packages/drivel.xml

This is called in the Debian postinst and postrm scripts.

Bug#299056: drivel: please take care of /usr/share/mime/*

2005-03-11 Thread Daniel Holbach
Package: drivel
Version: 1.2.4-2
Severity: normal

Hello,

please take care of the files in /usr/share/mime/*.

I added this to the "install:"-stanza of debian/rules in the current
Ubuntu version:
rm -f
debian/drivel/usr/share/mime/{subclasses,globs,magic,XMLnamespaces,aliases}

Rationale: if the files in there get overwritten, people loose their
mime settings and /usr/bin/update-mime-database /usr/share/mime must be
called.

Have a nice day,
 Daniel
