Sorry-- somehow I missed the individual client man pages, such as btdownloadcurses and btdownloadheadless. They appear to be up-to-date.
The overall man page (bittorrent-downloader) still refers to the old port allocation method, though, as does /usr/share/doc/bittornado/README.txt.gz (step 6). -- Charles Lepple
