Bug#302666: LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.1

Only few linux distributions keep this version :( You got some valid points here, but I'd prefer to have a maintained program rather than an old hack that has several bugs. However, you might take over the old code as maintainer. I'm more than willing to add this to netdiag as well once the more serious bugs are gone. It was my first positive impression when I moved from FreeBSD to Debian about 10 years ago. Would you care to elaborate? What feature did 1.3 have that the current version doesn't have? What feature did 1.3 have that the current version doesn't have? I'm still learning new trafshow ;) IMHO trafshow was designed to keeping one eye on network status. There are dozens other programs to do detailed view/anaysis. I think most of new capabilities of new version are uimportant for me. My first impressions was - screen bloated by all protocols on wire (I've just learned: it has tcpdump-like filter). More details: - Lack of sorting of transfer/speed - Only one option for expired data -P vs two for display statistics table - Lack of separate option for sliding window speed calculation - current behaviour is even undocumented - Two lines split of both directions of connection - inefficient use of a screen (yes I know its display is scrollable but this isn't an aswer for dissadvantages). Yes I know 1.3 is on old and probably unreviewed code. Only few linux distributions keep this version :( Mirek -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? I'll have my on version :( 1.3 was somethimes called trafshow-linux. It was my first positive impression when I moved from FreeBSD to Debian about 10 years ago.
