What's involved in making a 2.4-compatible package? What are the differences between the two? I am asking because I am trying to figure out what to do: 1. provide two conflicting packages (bad). 2. provide davfs2-kernel2.4, which diverts the necessary stuff in the davfs2 module (okay) 3. make davfs2 install both and provide a wrapper which does the appropriate thing according to the kernel version (preferred).
