Bug#307746: smbclient: Port option (-p) is ignored

2005-08-29 Thread Ralf Gross
Hi,

any idea when this bug will be fixed in debian sarge? In the samba code it's
already fixed, and there is a patch mentioned in
https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2688.

smbclient 3.0.14a-6 is still broken!

Regards, Ralf

It will not be. Sarge is released, and this bug doesn't meet the
requirements for a stable update.

Thanks and Regards,
Frank

Jerry, Jeremy, this is from Debian BTS...

Quoting Frank Chung ([EMAIL PROTECTED]):

By quickly looking at 3.0.14a release notes:

* BUG 2588: Force smbclient to send netbios messages to port
139 unless otherwise instructed (based on patch from Thomas
  Bork).

The patch is listed in Jerry's list, hence CC'ing himI have no
idea whether that patch is related to the reported behaviour, but it
seems to be the only change which could have triggered it

(Jeremy CC'ed as well, just to nag him and show that Debian indeed
tries to poke with upstream..:-)))
