Bug#307758: thuban: missing newline at the end of projection error message
Hi Petter, On Thu, May 05, 2005 at 10:30:53AM +0200, Petter Reinholdtsen wrote: Package: thuban Version: 1.0.0-1 Severity: normal When selecting 'projection' from the map submenu, an error message appear in the terminal noting the lack of ~/.thuban/user.proj. % LANG=C thuban No thubanstart module available Could not read /skole/tjener/home0/pere/.thuban/user.proj: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/skole/tjener/home0/pere/.thuban/user.proj'% As you can see, the error message is missing a newline at the end. Notice how the next command prompt (%) appear at the end of the message. It is also listing the path twice. Perhaps it is enough to list the path once? Thanks for this hint. I hope you agree, that it is not really necessary to prepare a new Thuban-package to adress this bug. Nevertheless I will feed this bug report upstream so that this will be fixed with one of the next versions of Thuban. I will have to investigate though whether it makes sense/is possible to omit the second listing of the path. It is possible that the first listing is a Thuban specific error message but the second a message which is thrown by python itself. Nevertheless I will feed this bug report upstream so that this will be fixed with one of the next versions of Thuban. I just checked the code in CVS: This has already been fixed upstream after the release of Thuban 1.0.1, so that this bug will be fixed with the next stable release of Thuban. I will have to investigate though whether it makes sense/is possible to omit the second listing of the path. It is possible that the first listing is a Thuban specific error message but the second a message which is thrown by python itself. It is indeed what I thought: First listing is a Thuban message while the second one is coming from python. Since the python error could be something completely different, both listings should appear in my opinion.
