 Following Bug#348341, you use xinerama.
 Does this bug appears if you do not use xinerama?

Yes, same crash.

Hi Yann,

I just installed gcompris 7.1.1-2 on etch and it exhibited this same bug
for me: without --noxrandr it crashes at startup, with the switch it runs.

Apparently this fix has gotten lost somewhere...
