 libapache-mod-php5 is for apache (as in, apache 1.3)
 
  Server: Apache/2.0.54 (Debian GNU/Linux) [...] PHP/4.4.0-1
 
 While you obviously have libapache2-mod-php4 installed on your apache2
 instance.

I naively thought that installing php5 and php5-.* would do the upgrade
for both apache 1.3 and 2.0.  Sorry for the bogus report !
