Subject: apt-cacher: Internal Server Error after long delay and timeout
Package: apt-cacher
Version: 1.0.11
Severity: important

Hello,

After installing the latest version of apt-cacher, "apt-get update"
stalls when accessing repositories through apt-cacher and finally
gives and "Internal Server Error":

Lecture des listes de paquets... Fait
E: Le téléchargement de quelques fichiers d'index a échoué, ils ont été
ignorés, ou les anciens ont été utilisés à la place.

The same error can be noticed when trying to install a package or
retrieving a source package. This started to happen after installing
this latest version (version 1.0.10 worked to retrieve 1.0.11).

Here is my short /etc/apt/sources.list:

$ cat /etc/apt/sources.list
deb http://ares/apt-cacher/ftp.fr.debian.org/debian/ sid main contrib non-free
deb-src http://ares/apt-cacher/ftp.fr.debian.org/debian/ sid main contrib
non-free

I am not using apt-cacher as a daemon (i.e. AUTOSTART=0 in
/etc/default/apt-cacher).

I can provide my /etc/apt-cacher/ files, they are very similar to
original files with a few restrictions.

I have tried to activate debug in apt-cacher.conf, but this did not
generate anything in the logfiles.

Hopefully, you won't get too many duplicates for this bug (I had started
with a grave severity, but I have not tested apt-cacher in daemon mode,
thus the important severity).

Thanks for maintaining apt-cacher!

Fred
