After that the link pointed again to the old file. Is this expected
  behaviour?

Could you please expand the old file? Do you mean that it points
to /usr/X11R6/lib/libGL.so.1.2.seg instead of the right file?

Please excuse me. I was reading old mail and I did not see the response
that
Michel gave to you. Also, this bug is already closed.

Best regards,

Ender.

Yes, ldconfig interprets .seg as a patchlevel, so it considers
libGL.so.1.2.seg newer than libGL.so.1.2.

Bug#328881: xlibmesa-dri: 3d acceleration stopped working when upgrading to x.org (radeon 9200 Mobile)

2005-09-17 Thread David Vilar
Package: xlibmesa-dri
Version: 6.8.2.dfsg.1-6
Severity: important

When upgrading to x.org (6.8.2.dfsg.1-6) 3d acceleration stopped
working. If I downgrade to xlibmesa-dri=4.3.0.dfsg.1-14 (the rest of
packages staying in 6.8.2.dfsg.1-6) acceleration works flawlessly. I
don't see any error messages about direct rendering in
/var/log/Xorg.0.log, but glxinfo always gives direct rendering:
No.

Regards and thanks for the work,

David
