Bug#332397: tetex-bin: manpage for a2ping missing
Package: tetex-bin Version: 3.0-7.0.sarge1 Severity: normal a2ping does not install a man page. However, $ a2ping --help a2ping.pl 2.77p, 2004-04-28 -- Written by [EMAIL PROTECTED] from April 2003. This is free software, GNU GPL =2.0. There is NO WARRANTY. (epstopdf 2.7 Copyright 1998-2001 by Sebastian Rahtz et al.) Usage: a2ping.pl [options] inputfile [[outformat:] outputfile] Run with --doc to read documentation as a UNIX man(1) page. This works, so there must be some internal manpage representation in the sources. By, Frank -- Frank Küster Inst. f. Biochemie der Univ. Zürich Debian Developer

What is the place for manpages that are not supplied from upstream? The new-manpages/ directory? cheerio ralf

BTW, it looks as if most/all manpages in new-manpages/ are meanwhile in texk/tetex/ and taken from there. I guess the versions in new-manpages/ can be deleted. Should I add sam2p to Suggests (#332301)? cheerio ralf

But please take care that the files in the original sources are actually installed. Should I add sam2p to Suggests (#332301)? That would be nice, thanks. Regards, Frank -- Frank Küster Inst. f. I didn't find a manpage for updmap.cfg, so I left that in, too. In my testbuild, which also revealed a stupid tab vs spaces error of mine, it worked correctly. Actually I think the manpages in texk/tetex/ are already used as, eg, ovp2ovf(1) contains [EMAIL PROTECTED] and not [EMAIL PROTECTED]. Should I add sam2p to Suggests (#332301)? That would be nice, thanks. Revision 207. cheerio ralf
