Hi! A friend of mine could reproduce the problem on his 32bit Gentoo system, so this bug is not debian specific. As I could not find a corresponding bug in the upstream bug tracker - only a similar one which did not mention the Sidebar module and which could not be reproduced by the developers - I reported it at bugs.kde.org.
