2007-11-21 Thread Sylvestre Ledru
Hello,

What is the status of this ITP ?
Can I help ? I can spend some time on it (I need the JOGL package for
the future version of Scilab).

Regards,
Sylvestre

Where is this old package? I fail to find its build rules in the
pkg-java svn repository.

I spoke with Mark Wielaard on #debian-java, and he managed to get ww2d
working with the prebuilt jogl and his CVS version of classpath. That
is great news. He had some problems with keyboard navigation, but the
program basicly runs.

This tells me a few things. First of all, jogl should work just fine
with classpath (at least the CVS version). Second, it should now/soon
be possible to get worldwind2d into debian, and I for that to happen
jogl need to go in first. Because of this, I want to help get jogl
into debian. :)

I will come back to this ITP as soon as I find some time. I have an
older version ready which I will update. I want to try building it with
gij-4.1 (when gcj-4.1 will reach unstable).

If this fails I will build it with kaffe - which currently needs an
adaption in the kaffe package as some headers are placed in the wrong
directory.

Wolfgang

Any progress with this ITP for jogl? Anything I can do to help? Will
it be maintained as part of the debian java group?

block 326600 with 337828
thanks

The JOGL library is needed by WW2D, WNPP request #326600. It would be
great if JOGL could work with a free java version to get both into
debian/main.
