I'm not sure how to go about that since the binaries have the same name,
they're just in a different directory.  The symmlink under /usr/lib/ccache
trick would not work...

Do you have any suggestion?

 Ah, I thought the same trick would apply.  No, I don't have a
 particular idea on how to solve this.
