Bug#349316: kaddressbook: Looses all kontacts when shutting down

Ok, it seems there is at least one bug in kmail. It writes the address book at
shutdown, overwriting any changes that may have happened in between. That's
really broken.

It doesn't always result in a truncated file, but sometimes just writes back
an outdated version, so changes made in other programs are lost. I will
investigate more and file a bug report.

This bug can probably be closed, my problems are likely due to other bugs.

I suspect that my problem is caused or initiated by kmail. I saw such a
progress dialog where the source file looked like /tmp/*kmail* (as a pattern,
not verbatim).

I seem to have hit this, or a similar bug (again). It happens with contacts
located on a slow NFS server. When I shut down the KDE session I see a
progress dialog indicating that the address book is being written. The
progress indicator is at zero and gets interrupted by the logout process
quickly. The address book file gets truncated to length zero.

Previously I had this problem with a remote address book on an SSH connection.

kaddressbook recommends no packages.

-- no debconf information
Sometimes when shutting down the PC kaddressbook writes data to std.vcf with
length 0.
Maybe this due to initng, because initng really quickly shuts down the system
and so
maybe some programs do not have enough time to write their data to the disk.
But this is only a guess and it is hard to figure out it because it only happens
seldom (third time since I'm using initng).
