I'm getting a symbol clash with the following two libraries from a stock
debian sarge amd64 install:
/usr/X11R6/lib/modules/linux/libint10.a
/usr/X11R6/lib/modules/libint10.a

>From gdm log:
Duplicate symbol rol_long in /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/drivers/fglrx_drv.o
Also defined in /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/libint10.a

The symbol is the same for both libint10 libs.

Disabling (moving these libs to .disabled) fixes my problem and fglrx
loads ok.

Thanks for your effort, this was a quite painless way of getting a
driver for my X550 card. So far I've not tried to build a kernel-module,
though.
