I'm currently refining the build. At the moment the only existing lintian errors are shared lib errors (-fPIC ?). Not sure what to do about it.
I read Mike's story about xulrunner. I'm not sure whether that's such a good idea, as the whole suite is tied into this package. As long as the xulrunner version is sort of "parallel" to the stable Seamonkey branch, I guess there's no problem, but what happens when the xulrunner libs get developed in an incompatible way? There are some versioning issues (still): libnspr-dev and libnss-dev are now called libnspr4-dev and libnss3-dev (more in line with their parent packages). But I need to set the libnspr and libnss packages to a version higher than the current mozilla-suite packages. Not sure how to apply binary-versioning here. The installer now installs mostly correct, copies the existing /etc/mozilla/* to /etc/seamonkey; ldconfig works as it should. Ah yes, and current versions just work. ;-) If anyone can shed some light on the mentioned problems, please do so!
