Hello, I like this great game very much.
I'd like to claim that I agree with Martin.
There should be two sets of packages, as stated in the wiki :
stable : Version 1.0.2 is the latest stable version, updated with several
important bugfixes. This version is recommended for most players since the
1.0.x online multiplayer community is very large and user-made campaign server
has a robust content selection.
development : This version is recommended for coders and campaign developers,
as well as those who want to preview the future of Wesnoth.
I think Debian users can be both players (running wesnoth-stable) and
previewers/debuggers (running wesnoth-development).
I'd like to add that I value the upstream QA and the nice Debian packaging
(which divides music, editor, campains...) May be it is just a matter of
reviving the lastest 1.0.x packaging under the name wesnoth-stable ?
