Bug#362941: revelation: Fails when unlocking from autolock

2006-04-18 Thread Stefan Völkel
Hi,

 [...]

where it apparantly is fixed in more recent versions, please upgrade.
I don't mind upgrading (provided it can still read my passwords), but
there isn't currently a newer version available in the debian
 repositories...

The debianized latest version can be found here:

http://bc-bd.org/www/revelation/

Be advised, this was build against unstable, thus you might have to
build it against testing yourself.

Right now I am having trouble finding a sponsor willing to upload, since
my regular sponsor is kind of busy.

regards
Stefan

I downloaded it and compiled it against testing.

It seems to have cured my problem, and I'm not suffering any side
effects so far. I'll drop you a line if I spot any oddities.

Thanks - great work!

Bug#362941: revelation: Fails when unlocking from autolock

2006-04-16 Thread Karl E . JÞrgensen
Package: revelation
Version: 0.4.5-2
Severity: normal

I have Revelation set up to autolock file when inactive (it's in the
preferences dialog). This part seems to work: when Revelation has been
inactive for the given number of minutes, it prompts for the passphrase
again.

However... After entering the passphrase again it suffers from an
Uknown Error: (warning: long lines...)

Traceback (most recent call last):
File /usr/bin/revelation, line 266, in lambda
self.tree.selection.connect(changed, lambda w:
self.entryview.display_entry(self.entrystore.get_entry(self.tree.get_active(
  File /usr/lib/python2.3/site-packages/revelation/ui.py, line 1068, in
get_active
iter = self.model.get_iter(self.get_cursor()[0])
AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'get_iter'

When this happens, the only way to get it working again is to shut it
down and start another instance...

Having studied the changelog, this looks like a bug that was fixed in
the past (searching for autolock in
/usr/share/doc/revelation/changelog.gz will get you to the right place).
According to
https://oss.codepoet.no/svn/revelation/trunk/NEWS
this fix appeared in 0.4.3.

But it appears have have raised its head again...

My symptoms appear to be identical to upstream bug #167:
http://oss.codepoet.no/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=167

where it apparantly is fixed in more recent versions, please upgrade.
I don't mind upgrading (provided it can still read my passwords), but
there isn't currently a newer version available in the debian
repositories...
