I have just checked the Changes file within the multitail 4.2.0 Debian source and I note the following change that was made in version 3.8.10: - searching in the scrollback window would give segfaults in certain situations, also search next would not work This sounds like the bug I am hitting with the current multitail that's in Sarge. -- .''`. Hi, can you please test this with the version from testing? You can just download the source package from testing and compile it without problems on sarge. Just do: wget http://ftp.debian.org/debian/pool/main/m/multitail/multitail_4.2.0.orig.tar.gz tar xvfz multitail_4.2.0.orig.tar.gz cd multitail-4.2.0 apt-get install libncurses5-dev ./configure make Then try if you can reproduce it with this version cause I can't with the provided instructions.
