Bug#366797: inkscape: cannot open/import .eps file

Hi Umarzuki,

I'm going through some old bug reports for the Inkscape package in
Debian.  Are you still experiencing problems with importing EPS files?
 If so, please could you make sure that you have installed all the
recommended and suggested packages and try again?

when i tried to open it from command line $ inkscape

and there's a pop-up with message "Failed to load the requested file
