Confirmed not an arts bug, latest libasound2 1.0.11-7 has resolved the artsd
crashing for me.

Bug#369160: Probably not an arts bug

2006-05-28 Thread Thue Janus Kristensen
Package: arts
Version: 1.5.3-1
Followup-For: Bug #369160

Downgrading libasound2 (and not anything else) makes arts work again, so
probably a libasound2 bug.

Regards, Thue

Bug#369160: Probably not an arts bug

2006-05-28 Thread Stefan Hirschmann
Package: arts
Followup-For: Bug #369160

Downgrading libasound2 (and not anything else) makes arts work again,
 so probably a libasound2 bug.

I tried it: It still doesn´t work so good. E.g. xmms does not work with
OSS Output.

Then I tried to to:
# killall artsd
# artsd

and got the error again:
-
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ artsd
unix_connect: can't connect to server
(unix:/tmp/ksocket-krasnoj/localhost.localdomain-2697-4479b370)
