David wroteL Yeah, I realized after I wrote the above that there was no fix. This is... bad. ;( It's a damn, damn shame no one noticed earlier. We could have asked the freetype maintainer to hold back from uploading 2.2 until it was sorted out. No use crying over spilt milk, however, I suppose. So I do have a patch that ejka tested a little bit that does build, but is known to cause regressions. I'd like to get this sorted out since no one has been attacking the problem upstream on the X.org side. I haven't checked the freetype side. Xfont currently has no upstream maintainer, so it's not likely to get fixed quite so soon. Ouch. Sometimes seems to me upstream is a little tooenthusiastic... about getting new releases out I may try and tackle it a bit over the next week but I also want to push forward with getting 7.1 in to experimental, as that's been lagging far too much. Yeah, I'm assuming it's the 7.1 version of libxfont that we'll want to fix. Not much point trying to save 7.0 (not that there'll be that much difference between them).
