libxine doesn't handle .m4b files correctly right now. .m4b files are AAC audiobooks which the iPod uses to bookmark them (i.e. continue the track the next time were you left it), so they can be handled like normal m4a files. This was already included in upstream CVS, but maybe you can include this small patch here (changes two lines of code): http://www.mail-archive.com/xine-cvslog@lists.sourceforge.net/msg00166.html One problem that was discussed on the upstream mailinglist still remains: the ending m4b doesn't tell whether the file is free or "protected" in any way.
