Trying to add a swapfile like described at 11.14.3
http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/handbook/adding-swap-space.html
fails like this:

# mdconfig -a -t vnode -f /usr/swap0 -u 0
mdconfig: ioctl(/dev/mdctl): Inappropriate ioctl for device

There's no manual pages for mdctl, swapon, swapoff and swapctl.

oops, you're right. it's not even in debian yet.
the maintainer is: GNU/kFreeBSD Maintainers debian-bsd@lists.debian.org
and i don't know if/when it will get into debian. feel free to close
the bug.
