mtdaapd fail to start when you try 'invoke-rc.d mt-daapd restart or
invoke-rc.d mt-daapd force-reload
But it works when starting init.d-script directly?!?
Here an example:
# invoke-rc.d mt-daapd restart
Restarting mt-daapd: invoke-rc.d: initscript mt-daapd, action restart
failed.
# /etc/init.d/mt-daapd restart
Restarting mt-daapd: mt-daapd.
#
Problem most likely in /etc/init.d/mtdaapd where start-stop-deamon calls
looks different to those in start and stop. I think they should
look the same.
Should solve easily with shell functions to start and stop server. And
call them from start, stop and restart|force-reload
