Bug#398079: linux-uvc-source: drop dependency on linux-image-* on resulting modules packages
Thanks, Junichi, for not dropping the dependency. We could as well drop all dependencies. Why does xyz depend on libc6? I have a locally build glibc! -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Bug#398079: linux-uvc-source: drop dependency on linux-image-* on resulting modules packages
Hi, Please remove the Depends: line :) I don't use the standard kernel packages, so I can't install the package unless I install a standard kernel or modify control.modules.in. That's a feature, not a bug, please use equivs. Last I checked, depending on a kernel image wasn't considered good practice. Heck, not even udev does it ;) udev would have a reason to not depend on kernel image, but linux-uvc is a package generated with the Debian mod-ass framework. I would consider it good practice that it depends on such kernel image. regards, junichi -- [EMAIL PROTECTED],netfort.gr.jp} Debian Project -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Hi, The modules packages built from linux-uvc-source depend on linux-image-*, which is useless. Please drop this dependency for people who do not want to use precompiled kernels.
